What is The Restoracene?
“The Restoracene” is a term coined by Siobhan Griffin to describe the new era that is dawning. In the Restoracene, the human species evolves our decision-making ability to multi-task in a way that allows our continued evolution and persistence on planet Earth. The beginning of this era marks the transition of Earth away from the apocalyptic trajectory of ecological decline since the onset of the Anthropocene 65,000 years ago. It is made possible by the newly developed human ability to consider the health of Earth’s life-supporting ecosystem processes and look after the needs of others when we make important and even daily economic decisions.
